God is ons Vader. Hy versorg en voorsien. Die Israelitiese ballinge het dit gehoor en geglo. Hy is hulle Skepper-god. Hulle behoort aan Hom. Hy het hulle as sy dienaars uitverkies om Sy getuies te wees. Hulle is deur God gekies om in Hom te glo en te besef dat Hy God is.
